2017 Workshop: Fractions, Decimals, and Percents
The Math and Parent Partnership (MAPPS) Program offers math instruction to parents of elementary school children in the Griffin-Spalding County School. The MAPPS program is a true program of encouragement, support, empowerment, outreach and partnerships. It encourages parents to get involved with their child’s learning and with their child’s school. It empowers both parents and teachers by introducing them to appropriate math content and new, fun teaching strategies that will engage their children at home and school. Parents and teachers, who participate in class together, have open communication with each other while exploring MAPPS program content. It is a true partnership between parents, teachers, our local school district, and the University of Georgia. MAPPS workshop sessions in Fractions, Decimals, and Percents will be held on the UGA Griffin Campus in the Stuckey Auditorium.
This is a FREE program, but registration is requested. Childcare is provided for younger children.
